The majority of the world has succumbed to the powers that be and have opened up a Facebook account. While most of us have maintained our sanity in regards to this social networking tool, others have crumbled under the power of this online community. Behold! The Top Ten Signs you are Addicted to Facebook:
10) You have convinced/forced at least one of your friends to join Facebook.
9) You accept every single friend request that comes your way even if you have no idea who the person is.
8 ) As soon as you meet someone in real life, you go home and search for them on Facebook.
7) When said person is not on Facebook, you get annoyed and think to yourself “Really?! There are still people that are not on Facebook?!”
6) When taking pictures on a night out, you tell people you will “tag” them.
5) You realize you have spent the last hour looking at photos of someone you don’t even know.
4) You don’t believe someone is in a real relationship unless Facebook says so.
3) When you get into a verbal argument with someone, you threaten to “De-friend them”.
2) You get seriously offended when someone doesn’t except your friend request.
1) You are constantly updating your status. “Joe is currently typing on his keyboard.” “Joe has stopped typing on his keyboard.” “Joe is getting up to go to the bathroom.” “Joe is back from the bathroom.”
If you or someone you know suffers from this addiction, please contact your local Facebook Abusers Annoymous chapter. Do not be afraid, there is help out there. Just step away from the computer….

Okay, so we all know that living in this city means you can fork over (yes, pun intended) upwards of $100 for a decent meal. I use the term “decent” loosely as most of the restaurants here are completely over-priced and targeted more at taking tourist’s money than pleasing that loud rumbling in your belly. Alas! I am here to help navigate you through the cheap eats that I have been lucky enough to stumble upon and devour time and time again. Today’s spotlight is one my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the whole wide world (no, I have not been to Vietnam): Pho Viet Huong.
The menu itself can be quite daunting! It holds approxiametly 200 dish options with anything from Fresh Shrimp Summer Rolls (YUM!) to Rare Beef Pho Noodle Soup (super YUM!) to their Chicken with Basil and Chili on Rice (super duper YUM!). I really could eat here all the time, and well, to be quite honest…I do! It’s fast, easy, tasty and very cheap. You and a guest can have a filling meal with an appetizer for about $15. The highest priced items on the menu are under $15 and you can get a good solid meal for $5. Service is lacking, not due to rudeness, but because this place can get pretty busy at peak times. But the Manager always has a smile on his face when you enter and always bids you a “Good Day!” after you leave full and satisfied. If you live downtown and don’t know about this spot, I have just given you gold. If you live further away, believe me…this place is well worth the trip!!
